Rates
I charge 3 cents per square inch for all designs.
Example: Quilt top measures 50” x 60” = 3,000 x 0.03 = $90 for quilting, thread, and shipping without added insurance.
Batting
I use and stock Quilters Dream batting in 80/20 cotton/poly blend, 100% cotton, Wool, and Bamboo. I have some limited quantities of other types of batting in stock, as well, so ask me for availability on anything else you might be interested in using. I am also willing to order any special batting that you prefer.
Batting is a separate charge and is not included in the square-inch price.
I charge for batting by the linear inch from queen rolls of batting except in the case of special orders. I will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + 5″ margin) and charge by the inch. For king quilts, I have individual king-size battings for purchase.
For example, if you have a 50″ x 60″ quilt, I would cut 55″ of the batting of your choice.
55″ of 100% cotton deluxe loft @ $0.43/in = $23.65
55″ of 80/20 cotton/poly blend @ $0.39/in = $21.45
55″ of Wool @ $0.37/in = $20.35
55″ of Bamboo @ $0.35/in = $19.25
Thread
I stock Glide and Innovatech threads. I don’t charge any extra fees for thread use. It is included in the square-inch quilting cost.
If you know the color of thread you desire, please let me know. If you would like me to choose, my personal style is to match or blend the thread color with the overall color of your quilt background in most cases.
Shipping
I live in Granbury, Texas, USA, and would be happy to receive your quilt top and backing by mail. I’d recommend sending your project in a plastic bag inside a box to protect against possible moisture during transit. Make sure your box is securely taped and labeled clearly.
Return shipping is by USPS priority mail. This comes with $50 of insurance and a tracking number. If you would like for me to purchase additional insurance on your behalf, please let me know on the quilt booking form and I will purchase it and include it on your invoice. It’s a great idea to insure your project against loss or damage by the USPS. The value that the USPS recommends is the value of your fabric, batting, and quilting service invoice.
Payment
After the work is complete, I will invoice you via PayPal with the email address you provided previously. I really appreciate timely payment so that I can mail your project back to you right away.
