Let me introduce myself

Welcome to my little slice of the internet. I’m Amy Larkin, owner of The Uncommon Bobbin. I work on an Innova M28 longarm machine that I lovingly named Pierce because he is as sexy as 007 himself. I have been quilting for a little over a decade and recently decided to make my hobby into my second career. I was an accountant for many years, but the creativity mixed with structure of quilting, pattern writing, and design just speak to me.

You can book a quilt here on my site for longarm quilting, or you can find some of my work for sale over in my Etsy shop. I will occasionally post patterns I’ve written, quilts I’ve made, or sometimes even quilts I have found and restored for sale over there. Stop in from time to time to see what you find. The inventory will vary based on my current projects, my passions, and which way the wind is blowing.

I look forward to getting to know all of you. Don’t forget to follow along on my Instagram page and signup for my newsletter for updates, as well.
